@On1yCheryl I grew up in Texas, and you showed to me that you are not acquainted with Texas schooling. So forgive me for assuming the same for your experience Alabama’s. Texas is a very polarized state in terms of education. While there is plenty bible thumping hokey about, especially in the insular small towns that make up most of the state, in the major cities it has the greatest number of charter schools and experimental public schools of all the places I’ve lived.

The wealthy aren’t “giving” anyone anything. Demand for a product or service is what creates jobs. Wealthy business owners, especially in a primarily service economy such as ours, do nothing more than pool labor, the workers provide the services. (It’s a bit like having health insurance companies taking profit from premiums & dispensing little for health care.) Cut out the unnecessary middle-man, the wealthy capitalist who skims off the profits & have the workers run the industries

@On1yCheryl, not an ad hominem at all, I am in no way belittling you. And your claim is bullshit. It is so broad and biased its pathetic.
I find it impossible in all the Baylor medical system there is not 1 Texas public educated student. Why do I find it impossible? I know some. Therefore your statement is false. There are practitioners who were a product of Texas public schooling. And there are also nonchristians at Baylor. So there goes your “fundamentalist” out the window.

@On1yCheryl, I call bullshit on this one, I know many students at Baylor who are taking a bio major to be doctors and whatnot etc. And 25 years, you would know someone you went to school in Texas considering the school is in Texas.
And seems you just have a nice bias against Christians (who doesn’t) but you have one too big that blinds you. I pity you. Seriously. I know an Atheist who goes to Baylor and isn’t in the medical program. You= arrogant/ignorant bullshit.
@isellsoap1 I have …
@isellsoap1 I have worked in healthcare for over 25 years and knew a lot of practitioners educated at Baylor. None of them were a product of the Texas school system. The only people outside of healthcare I ever met from Baylor were scary fundies.
@LokiClock I spent …
@LokiClock I spent 12 years in the Alabama school system and have lived here most of my life. I’ve worked with a lot of people from Texas who all complained their kids were not getting enough science and math. I read up on things happening regarding education. In both states, fundamentalism has been influencing decisions which have negatively impacted math and science programs.
