Is teaching in Australia very different from teaching in England?
I have left teaching in England behind because of the red tape and the beaurocratic crap. I have been in Australia for 4 months now and have realised I am not qualified to do anything else but teach. Having said that I am missing the job (more so the children) now. Can anybody help me with this question?
A very worried pomm.
I think you’ll find the beaurocratic crap and red tape is thriving here as well. Just add poor pay for the work done as well.
But if you love teaching give it a go here in oz.

I’d give it a go… I am a teacher in South Africa, and when i went to London (central) I was horrified by the children’s behaviour… sorry, this is not to offend you, I thought South African discipline was bad, but that really blew me away… look at it this way:
Australian schools and teaching will give you more experience
The children are quite different to British children
It’ll be a challenge for you to tackle
If you don’t enjoy it… leave…
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
