Literacy report faults education system
Kenyan children are leaving primary school without achieving basic literacy and numeracy skills. A new report released shows that fifty out of every one thousand children completing class eight cant read a class two story.

The government is not putting money in building more schools. More schools will mean that we have less crowded classrooms. The people who introduced free primary education did not think hard enough of the challenges we will face.

No wonder the ministry of higher education is considered low level ministry. Education in Kenya is not a big issue to politicians. Ministry of Education and Ministry Higher Education should not be headed by any tom, dick and harry. Education is the key to poverty, exposure etc nowonder they still refer to us as developing countries coz we give food priority than education.
