What is appropriate to wear in the classroom?
I start my field experience soon and I will be in a middle school classroom. I’m 19 years old so I have a ton of cute v-neck lower cut sweaters. Are these appropriate to wear in a classroom setting?
Any tips on how to dress up a blouse? I have tons of cute shoes and just black/grey/pinstripe pants but I’m not exactly sure what to wear for tops. I have tons of plain colored long sleve shirts also.
I just finished my field experience at a middle school. The first day I tried to go very conservative the first day so I wore black dress pants, black heels, and a long sleeve button up. Don’t try to go all out the first day. Go and observe one day and see how the other teachers dress first. I would just wear a simple long sleeve with an undershirt underneath. Just make sure it’s modest.
It’s ok as long as an undershirt or spaghetti strap shirt is under it. You can always dress up a plain long sleeve shirts with jewelry, and pants…You’ll be fine.

wow, i am a 19 year old boy too. do you mean you are going to start to teach or be an assistant or teachers aide at a middle school. if so, congradulations! you can wear sweaters, shirts. they are appropriate. a lot of teachers wear sweaters.
btw: i didn’t know you can be a teacher that young, at 19, i thought they need to get 4-6 years of college and assts. at least 2? just wondering.
