What the difference between electrical engineering and electrical technology engineering?
whats the difference between the two? What kind of jobs are available to the technology one, and which is more likely to get hired? How much more do engineers make then technology majors ? are Electrical technology really engineers ?
According to this:
Students of electrical engineering technology learn the design, drafting, and technical skills they need to assist engineers and put engineering ideas into action.
It sounds like the technology version is more like an AS degree, so you can help an engineer. A technician really. If you are the helper, you always make less. How much is relative, but in CA a new BS. EE can expect anywhere from $55-$65k to start. So the AS degree will only get you into the upper $20k to mid $30k.
There is a huge difference between a technician and an engineer. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of very smart technicians, who can out design some engineers I’ve met. But typically a technician can design stuff as a hobby, but an engineers designs need to be production proof, having no component tolerance issues over 10k to millions of units.
That’s why they get paid the big bucks.

How many hours a teaching assistant has to teach independently in classes?
Is it difficult to be a teaching assistant if you don’t know the subject completely? Is it possible to catch up in process?
Depends on how comfortable you are with making mistakes and not letting it show to the students. Teaching independently amounts to many many hours beyond the class period (this past week I spend six hours preparing lectures and reading material to be discussed in class, and twelve hours grading exams and essays). I have taught classes I wasn’t thoroughly up in expertise-wise, and generally it gets easier if you prepare early and read outside of general books on the subject.
What were America’s strategies during the Spanish American War?
I need help. Also, what were Spain’s strategies during the war?
Dude, it took like two months. I doubt Spain had too much time for strategy. And America, they needed to keep their navy above Spain and they should have been all right.
Spain- HELP!!!!
America- Naval supremacy
Name an example of professional development in a teaching career?
please give an example of “professional development” and explain its specific importance/purpose.
Professional Development for teachers means taking classes that usually must be pre-approved by your district. Some that I’ve taken (more famous ones that you can look up online): New Jersey Writing Project and Loose in the Lab. Most of the ones that I take are presented by the district (usually your district will have a calendar of free classes for which you can sign up). I took 6 computer courses this summer, for example. If you have to administer the state test, then you know how important it is that your students pass. Many classes that you take will be directly related to increasing student performance.
These classes are important to keep you abreast of the latest theories and trends in education. They certainly help you keep up with the latest "buzzwords" which change at the speed of light. You need to know these things because they sweep through your district and you’re expected to not only know what they mean, but be able to implement these ideas as required. For example, we used to have a "GIST" process for getting students tested for special education. This year, they are changing not only the process, but it is now being called the "RTI" process instead of "GIST".
Are literacy tests in the United States legal?
I know that literacy tests with a racial effect have been outlawed, but is there any federal law or court decision making literacy tests that are race-neutral illegal as well? If so, what is the name of the law or case?
Thanks.
Not for voting. Yes for employment or joining the military..
