What the difference between electrical engineering and electrical technology engineering?
whats the difference between the two? What kind of jobs are available to the technology one, and which is more likely to get hired? How much more do engineers make then technology majors ? are Electrical technology really engineers ?
According to this:
Students of electrical engineering technology learn the design, drafting, and technical skills they need to assist engineers and put engineering ideas into action.
It sounds like the technology version is more like an AS degree, so you can help an engineer. A technician really. If you are the helper, you always make less. How much is relative, but in CA a new BS. EE can expect anywhere from $55-$65k to start. So the AS degree will only get you into the upper $20k to mid $30k.
There is a huge difference between a technician and an engineer. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of very smart technicians, who can out design some engineers I’ve met. But typically a technician can design stuff as a hobby, but an engineers designs need to be production proof, having no component tolerance issues over 10k to millions of units.
That’s why they get paid the big bucks.

How many hours a teaching assistant has to teach independently in classes?
Is it difficult to be a teaching assistant if you don’t know the subject completely? Is it possible to catch up in process?
Depends on how comfortable you are with making mistakes and not letting it show to the students. Teaching independently amounts to many many hours beyond the class period (this past week I spend six hours preparing lectures and reading material to be discussed in class, and twelve hours grading exams and essays). I have taught classes I wasn’t thoroughly up in expertise-wise, and generally it gets easier if you prepare early and read outside of general books on the subject.
What were America’s strategies during the Spanish American War?
I need help. Also, what were Spain’s strategies during the war?
Dude, it took like two months. I doubt Spain had too much time for strategy. And America, they needed to keep their navy above Spain and they should have been all right.
Spain- HELP!!!!
America- Naval supremacy
Name an example of professional development in a teaching career?
please give an example of “professional development” and explain its specific importance/purpose.
Professional Development for teachers means taking classes that usually must be pre-approved by your district. Some that I’ve taken (more famous ones that you can look up online): New Jersey Writing Project and Loose in the Lab. Most of the ones that I take are presented by the district (usually your district will have a calendar of free classes for which you can sign up). I took 6 computer courses this summer, for example. If you have to administer the state test, then you know how important it is that your students pass. Many classes that you take will be directly related to increasing student performance.
These classes are important to keep you abreast of the latest theories and trends in education. They certainly help you keep up with the latest "buzzwords" which change at the speed of light. You need to know these things because they sweep through your district and you’re expected to not only know what they mean, but be able to implement these ideas as required. For example, we used to have a "GIST" process for getting students tested for special education. This year, they are changing not only the process, but it is now being called the "RTI" process instead of "GIST".
Are literacy tests in the United States legal?
I know that literacy tests with a racial effect have been outlawed, but is there any federal law or court decision making literacy tests that are race-neutral illegal as well? If so, what is the name of the law or case?
Thanks.
Not for voting. Yes for employment or joining the military..
What can I do with a masters degree in educational technology?
This is a broad degree and can open doors in many fields, i.e. K-12 teaching, higher ed, military, medical, and business. I’d say it’s for those who enjoying connecting with people, understanding their needs, and giving them direct and clear learning solutions.
An interesting facet of this field, at least to me, is the use of games and play in the instructional method. Educators have an opportunity now to tap into the huge popularity of computer games as educational tools. Just look at what Nintendo is doing. Programs like Brain Age for the DS are just the tip of this iceberg. I think if we can turn learning into a game like experience, we’ll overcome resistance and convert more people into lifelong learners. Finally, it will be important to not allow the rapid development of technology to eclipse the fundamental goals of teaching. In other words, it’s the message, not the medium.
I think the best overview and introduction to the field can be had by reading the following book-
Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology (2nd Edition) (Paperback)
~ Robert Reiser (Author), John V. Dempsey (Author)
What is the education requirement difference between a neuropsychologist and psychologist?
I was wondering, what is the difference between the education needed to become a neuropsychologist vs. a psychologist? I know there is obviously a difference, and I’d lie to know how much more education one needs to be a neuropsychologist. Are there more science-based classes that need to be taken? I want to be a neuropsychologist, but I don’t know how much more I would have to do in school. If it’s as much as a doctor, then I definately won’t. Thanks so much.
The training is different. You want to find a school that has a neuropsychology specialization and ensure that you take classes on physiological psychology, neuroanatomy, neuropsychological testing, and psychopharmacology.. You should also obtain a predoctoral internship in neuropsychology that is APA or CPA accredited. After you graduate, you will need a postdoctoral neuropsychology residency or fellowship.

What kinds of classroom activities would you do to help the children learn about lenape indians?
What kinds of classroom activities would you do to help the children learn about lenape indians?
Here is a web-site that might offer some additional information http://www.bigorrin.org/lenape_kids.htm. You might contact the Boy Scouts of America office near you as the Order of the Arrow (OA) uses the Lanape as one of the basis for their ceremonies and many members have made costumes in the style. The OA members might be able to show your students some simple arts and crafts for use in the classroom.
How does genetics contrbute to other areas of technology?
Like how did /does genetics play a role in the improvement or devopment of technology. I need an answer to how genetics helps technology not technology helping genteics.
Though they look different, many genetics problems are also long standing problems in mathematics. Many of the solutions that have been developed for genetics problems have been quickly adapted to solve problems in other fields as well. It is even possible that more engineering problems have been solved by geneticists than genetics problems solved by engineers.
"Genetic algorithms" – an algorithm technique inspired by how organism populations evolve, is now used to solve many other problems, such as risk and threat assessment, scheduling problems, timetables, route planning, etc.
How does teaching preschool play a role in writing?
For my project, I need to explain how teaching preschool/ early childhood education plays a role in writing. I have researched it, but I am not sure how it does. Any suggestions?
I’ve been teaching for 25+ years and I am not sure. I’ve taught prekindergarten for 10 of those years and unless I am here answering questions, or on a pre-K yahoo group, it has not played a role in my writing.
I could make sense of the question if it asked how being enrolled in preschool played a role in a child learning to write, but not as it stands now.
